Peng Xiu Wen has standardised the structure of a Chinese Orchestra,
which includes a Wind section, a String section, a section of Plucking
instruments and a Percussion section. Thanks to his reform, the Chinese
Orchestra has acquired an expressiveness second to none. It is now able
to play traditional music, folk music and even western music with remarkable
ease and grace.
